Make a cute and colourful paper craft of delicious sticky rice dumplings (aka ZongZi) to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival!
This download contains:
- One (1) Zongzi Craft cutout template
Materials Needed:
A4 colourful paper or card stock
Scissors
Stapler
Glue
Wool or string. 80cm long
Instructions:
Pick 4 different coloured paper in portrait view. Fold them in half, then fold it in half again to make four equal strips.
Cut along the folds to get four equal strips of paper. You should now have different colour strips to make your dumplings with.
Create a cone by folding one side of the strip over the other. One side of the paper should overlap the other side. Either staple or glue the two sides together.
Repeat with different colour paper 3-4 times until you have 4-5 paper cones.
Next, cut out the facial features from the template provided. Stick them on each paper dumpling.
Next, take the string and feed through the top of the first cone (dumpling). Secure the string inside the cone with a piece of sticky tape.
Feed the next cone (dumpling) with the same piece of string so that it sits 5cm above the first dumpling. Secure the string inside the cone again with some tape. Repeat the process until all dumplings are fed through the string.
